Will the Philadelphia Eagles even bother to pay Jordan Matthews next season?

Will the Philadelphia Eagles even bother to pay Jordan Matthews? How will the Philadelphia Eagles approach this? According to David Murphy from Philly.com, Howie Roseman and Jeffrey Lurie have already thought about this situation. Yet, they may already know what they will do to the 24-year-old WR, Jordan Matthews.

Matthew’s whole NFL career remained on the Philadelphia Eagles. He was selected in the 2nd round of the 2014 draft. Matthews was given a $4.9 million, 4-year contract by the Eagles. Matthews was decent his rookie season with eight touchdowns, and 67 receptions for 872 yards.

Next year (2018), Matthews will go to free-agency, so that may give the Eagles a chance to try out a new wide receiver if Matthews hasn’t already been cut or traded.
