Obviously, it’s no secret that the Philadelphia Eagles show a lot of interest in Louisiana State University’s Derrius Guice. They made that idea manifest even more, by flying down south to reportedly meet with the talented 20-year-old running back.
Despite the fact that the Eagles aren’t in desperate need for another running back like Guice, it always helps to have depth. The Eagles currently are flying with running back Jay Ajayi who they acquired from Miami about half way through the season. Ajayi put up only a single rushing touchdown in 70 attempts, (0.01428%). While in Guice’s last year of college, scores a touchdown 0.04641% of his attempts, which is about four times as better as Ajayi, and almost David Johnson like when he was in college. But just from amplifying that idea, it certainly helps to have another running back on hand, especially someone like Guice; instead of just having 5’10” Corey Clement, and possibly Darren Sproles who is soon turning 35 years old soon.
Eagles will meet with Guice tonight at LSU, then will put him through a private workout tomorrow morning, per Jon Ledyard.
