2018 NFL Preseason: Eagles lose to Patriots, 20 – 37

Nick Foles’ preseason debut didn’t go as planned. The 29-year-old went three for nine and just 44 yards in one quarter. It looked like the Foles we saw play against the Oakland Raiders back in Week 16 of the 2017 NFL Season. Fortunately, it’s just the preseason, and Eagles still have time to clean some things up.

Anyways, Eagles lost to their Super Bowl 52 opponent, New England Patriots, 20 – 37.

A comeback seemed to be brewing at the start of the second half, but it wasn’t fast or early enough to make a complete comeback and win. Eagles third string quarterback Nate Sudfeld looked immensely good – good enough compete against Carson Wentz (maybe…).

Hopefully we can expect better next week against the Cleveland Browns. As easy as the game sounds, lets not forget that the Browns cleaned some things up in the offseason and draft. Eagles also need to do the same prior to the regular season opener, which hopefully they will.
