2018 NFL Draft: Eagles select CB Avonte Maddox

Pick is in, for the fourth round, 125th overall, Day 3.

This time, the Eagles’ pick isn’t as obnoxious as it was in the 2nd round, with David Akers. Anyways, In the fourth round of the NFL Draft, 125 overall, the Philadelphia Eagles select…Avonte Maddox.

Avonte Maddox is a great addition to the defending Super Bowl champs’ team. Last college season at ACC, Maddox had two interceptions, and 27 tackles. He ran an attractive 4.39 40-yard-dash, and was graded as a 5.38 at the NFL Combine, in late February.

If 5’6″, 184 lb Maddox makes the 53-man roster, which he should, he will most likely as a nickel corner, which is what he played as in college.

We can’t forget that even the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th round have some diamonds in it too! NFL on Fox even reminded everybody via Twitter.
