LeSean McCoy, formerly running back of the Philadelphia Eagles and Buffalo Bills, will reunite with former Eagles’ head coach Andy Reid this season.
McCoy was released by the Bills on Saturday afternoon. Last season, he registered three rushing touchdowns for a mere 514 yards, averaging 3.2 yards per carry. During his entire tenure with them, he had a total of 25 rushing touchdowns and 3,814 rushing yards.
McCoy was with the Bills from 2014 to 2018, and with the Eagles from 2009 to 2014. With the Eagles, Shady accumulated 44 rushing touchdowns for 6,792 yards. As of 2019, McCoy has made it to the Pro Bowl a total of six times, complimented by two All-Pro selections.
Very-early Sunday morning, just fifteen hours after his release, it was announced that McCoy was signing with the Kansas City Chiefs under former Eagles’ head coach Andy Reid. Although of Reid’s somewhat-flawing coaching while with the Eagles, birds’ fans adore him. Greatly reasoned for his personal struggles while coaching the Eagles–his son passing away, and his patience for Nick Foles and other players.
Earlier this year, Michael Vick described DeSean Jackson, Nick Foles, LeSean McCoy, and he as the “dream team,” for which also included coach Reid. However, that “dream team” was destroyed after the Eagles hired head coach Chip Kelly, following Reid’s termination, who got rid of all four guys.
Former Bills’ RB LeSean McCoy is reuniting with Chiefs HC Andy Reid, per source. McCoy getting a one-year, $4 million deal that includes $3 million guaranteed from the Chiefs.
