After having struggling by being the No. 17 passing defense in the regular season, the Philadelphia Eagles are to lose their best cornerback Patrick Robinson. This has been a spoken-of rumor ever since the following week of the Super Bowl. Unfortunately Eagles barely have enough money to sign him, and they are most likely saving it to pay current defensive end Brandon Graham.
Patrick Robinson reportedly struggled during offseason training camp, but proved Eagles’ fans wrong. Robinson had four interceptions, 47 combined tackles, as well as a game changing pick during the Championships in the 2017 Playoffs that led them to Super Bowl LII to face off the New England Patriots. Robinson is set to return to the team that drafted him, New Orleans Saints. This could possibly mean the Eagles will use the ‘next man up’ mentality, or even sign a cornerback in the upcoming 2018 NFL Draft.
This is a surprise: #Eagles CB Patrick Robinson, due to be a free agent in 2 hours, is expected to sign a 4-year deal with the #Saints. Back where it all began.
