According to former Eagles and current Jaguars quarterback Nick Foles‘ wife, Tori Moore, they had an unexpected miscarriage of their 15-week baby. Her instagram post is as follows (following advertisement):
It was announced on Tuesday that Foles will miss time for personal-reasons, probably family related, which turns out to be correct. Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone said, “Our thoughts and prayers are with Nick and his family.” And there is no timetable for his return.
Anyway, in the Instagram post, Foles‘ wife states that she went into labor after fighting a virus, and noticed something wasn’t right. They then realized the baby was miscarried. “Early Sunday morning after a rough couple days fighting a ‘virus’ of some sort, I went into sudden labor and knew something was wrong.” She then stated, “To fully labor and deliver and even see our baby boy was a pretty devastating process. Come to find that I had contracted an infection of pneumonia in the blood.”
Foles was drafted by the Eagles in the 2012 NFL Draft. His first start was in 2012 before ending the season with six touchdowns, five interceptions, and 1,699 yards. The following season in 2013, Foles was selected to the Pro Bowl after throwing 27 touchdowns and only two interceptions. Today, Foles is widely regarded for his infamous, underdog Super Bowl run in Philly during the 2017-postseason.
Praying for Nick and his family.
