Nick Foles receives prayers for family-related reasons

Jaguars quarterback Nick Foles is reportedly out for an indefinite period of time at OTAs for personal reasons, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone said, “Our thoughts and prayers are with Nick and his family.” And there is no timetable for his return. Given the seriousness Marrone provided and no timetable for Foles, it sounds like something serious happened, of which involves the 30-year-old.

Foles was drafted by the Eagles in the 2012 NFL Draft. His first start was in 2012 before ending the season with six touchdowns, five interceptions, and 1,699 yards. The following season in 2013, Foles was selected to the Pro Bowl after throwing 27 touchdowns and only two interceptions. Today, Foles is widely regarded for his infamous, underdog Super Bowl run in Philly during the 2017-postseason.

Anyway, if you weren’t already aware, Foles‘ wife Tori Moore suffers from postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), for which is currently not curable. Foles discussed POTS in his recent book Believe It. He said she experiences symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, fatigue, and some insomnia. Perhaps, Foles‘ indefinite absence is related to an unexpected turn in Tori’s condition.

Prayers to Foles and his family.
