Rodgers was with the team last season, however, was injured for majority of the season. He ended up tallying just one reception for seven yards. Eagles reasoning behind re-signing the 27-year-old could be because of his blocking. Starting tight end Zach Ertz doesn’t thrive when it comes to blocking.
Rodgers was selected in the 3rd round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers. During his four-year tenure in Green Bay, Rodgers registered a total of 13 touchdowns to his stats before becoming a free agent in 2018 to sign a one-year deal in Philadelphia.
Contract details are yet to be released.
