Eagles QB Nate Sudfeld has broken wrist, surgery required

According to John Clark of NBC Sports, Philadelphia Eagles’ backup quarterback Nate Sudfeld has a broken wrist and will require surgery, which is scheduled for Friday morning.

“He’ll have surgery in the morning, he’ll have to prepare,” said Eagles head coach Doug Pederson.  “It’s not season ending, so we’re excited about that.  And after surgery we’ll have a more in-depth look, probably Saturday once he gets out of surgery.

Right now we’re going to continue with who we got—we’re comfortable with Cody [Kessler], and obviously get Clayton [Thorson] to work.  And again, for Nate, this is not season-ending, and again, we’re excited about that.”

Sudfeld was carted off the field after falling awkwardly on his left wrist, injuring it.  It was then put in an air cast while he headed back to the locker room.  The 25-year-old will be out for a few months.
