Chris Long announces retirement from NFL

Former Eagles, Patriots, and Rams defensive end Chris Long has announced his retirement from the National Football League after 11 years, according to his Twitter and the Philadelphia Eagles’.

“Cheers. Been a hell of a journey. Eleven years and I can honestly say I put my soul into every minute of it. Highs and lows. I’ve seen them both and I appreciate the perspective. Gratitude and love to those who lifted me up,” stated Long via Twitter.

Long is closing his career with 332 combined tackles and 80 sacks, 2018 NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year, and 2x Super Bowl champion.
