The Philadelphia Eagles are re-signing cornerback Ronald Darby, according to the team via Twitter:

“He visited KC Thursday, but opts for a 1-year deal as he works to recover from a torn ACL. Given that he had surgery in late Nov, Darby may not be ready for Week 1, but he stays in Philly to work,” said NFL Insider Ian Rapoport via Twitter.
It’s a one-year deal worth $8.5 million deal, Rapoport also stated. The Eagles cleared $5 million in cap space this morning by adjusting the contracts of defensive end Chris Long and linebacker Nigel Bradham, for which agreeing on a deal with Darby could be the reason they did this.Follow @EaglesFeast
