Philadelphia is saving $7.2 million in cap space by the 33-year-old. “Eagles are likely to receive a 2020 5th-round draft pick from the Patriots for Michael Bennett and a 2020 7th-rounder,” Eagles reporter Jeff McLane stated via Twitter.
Eagles acquired the adaptable veteran via trade with the Seahawks prior to last season. The trade package sent wide receiver Marcus Johnson and a fifth-round pick to Seattle. With the Eagles this season, Bennett registered a career-high nine sacks to his stats. He also recorded 50 combined pressures and quarterback hits, which was the second-most in the league last season.Follow @EaglesFeast
