Many Philadelphia Eagles fans certainly knew the Eagles would be very hesitant to retain kicker Caleb Sturgis, after their new kicker (who filled in for Sturgis during his injury) kicked a franchise record field-goal, 61-yards.
Though Eagles new kicker Jake Elliott isn’t as persistent when it comes to kicking close-range field goals as Caleb Sturgis is, the organization feels that a younger, more inexpensive guy like Jake Elliott is better to keep.
As of 5:43 EST on Friday, reports claim that Eagles’ former starting kicker Caleb Sturgis signed a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Chargers.
