BREAKING: Sixers trade Markelle Fultz to Magic for Jonathon Simmons and picks

The Philadelphia 76ers are trading former first-overall pick Markelle Fultz to the Orlando Magic, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The trade package will also send SF/SG Jonathon Simmons and a first and second-round pick to the Sixers. Simmons is averaging 6.9 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists throughout 41 games with the Magic this season.

Fultz hasn’t played for the Sixers since mid-November when he was benched with a shoulder-injury. He was later diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS), which is a condition that compresses nerves and other internal parts of the body.

In Philly or not, hopefully Fultz will succeed.
