It’s always sad to lose good players, but this one isn’t exactly a big surprise. The Eagles can’t really afford to pay tight end Trey Burton the salary he now commands. As such, reports indicate that Burton (the ‘Philly Special’ quarterback) will sign a four-year, $32M deal with the Chicago Bears.
Burton, age 26, was undrafted out of college and signed with the Eagles in 2014. He’s been an athletic and reliable target playing behind featured tight end, Zach Ertz.
