On Monday, Eagles agreed to terms with former Oakland Raiders QB Matt McGloin. McGloin was the backup for Derek Carr for the past 3 years. McGloin and Eagles QB Nick Foles are now battling to be backup for Carson Wentz.
Last year, McGloin suffered a shoulder injury while serving backup for Derek Carr. He then was out for the rest of the year. Then after McGloin’s injury, Connor Cook filled in for him.
McGloin played for Penn State before he was undrafted in 2013. McGloin was signed as a free-agent by the Oakland Raiders. Ever since, he played for the Raiders up until this date.
McGloin had 1,868 yards in his career, as well as 11 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. McGloin hopes to build off of his current stats while with the Philadelphia Eagles.
