Nick Foles returns to the Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles and quarterback Nick Foles have agreed to terms on a new two-year deal that will find the former starter serving as backup to Carson Wentz.

Foles was originally drafted by the Eagles in 2012 (head coach Doug Pederson was quarterbacks coach at the time). Foles astounded much of the NFL in 2013 when he threw for 27 touchdowns while having only 2 interceptions. The following year, Foles missed a good portion of the season with injuries and was dealt to the Rams prior to the 2015 season. Foles spent last season on the Kansas City Chiefs with his former coach, Andy Reid.

No word yet on what will become of current Eagles backup quarterback Chase Daniel.
