As well as things are going for former Eagles offensive coordinator Frank Reich in Indianapolis, things aren’t going so well for John DeFilippo in Minnesota.
Prior to working as the offensive coordinator for the Vikings, DeFilippo worked as the Eagles quarterbacks coach in 2017 during their Super Bowl season. He’s most known for helping quarterback Carson Wentz through his success in 2017 as he threw for 33 touchdowns in just 13 games.
On Tuesday, Vikings announced that they were eliminating DeFilippo from their coaching staff.

Because of his success with the Eagles in 2017, there is somewhat of a chance that the Eagles bring him back to their coaching staff this upcoming offseason – just like the Patriots did with Josh McDaniels in 2012.
Personally, I would support the Eagles bringing DeFilippo back as quarterbacks coach. Though, it’s doubtful they would fiddle with the coaching staff this late into the season.
The chances are still unclear whether DeFilippo would even consider coming back to be a quarterbacks coach again. Hopefully he will.Follow @EaglesFeast
