Philadelphia Eagles’ wide receiver DeSean Jackson will undergo surgery on Tuesday morning, and will then miss around four to six weeks in recovery, according to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport.
The surgery is intended to correct a core muscle injury tomorrow morning, Jeff McLane stated on Twitter. The injury occurred during Sunday’s matchup against the Chicago Bears, which obligated him to leave the game early.
The injury is worse than his Week 2 one, for he now tore the abdominal muscle completely off the bone. Again, it is expected for him to miss 4-6 week as he recovers, however, unlikely he even plays again this season.
This will be a huge blow for the Eagles, as they failed to acquire a receiver prior to last week’s uneventful trade deadline. They also failed to claim Josh Gordon off waivers.Follow @EaglesFeast
