Eagles cut LB Corey Nelson & sign linebacker

The Philadelphia Eagles have released linebacker Corey Nelson on Sunday afternoon, per an official team announcement.

Due to the release of Nelson, the Eagles roster went down to 89 players. Later on Sunday, the Eagles announced they’ve signed another linebacker to the roster, Jaboree Williams, to fill Nelson’s former spot – bringing the roster to 90 players.

Williams played college for Wake Forest, where he hauled in 141 tackles and two interceptions (in the span of four years). Williams looks to continue his football career with the Philadelphia Eagles, despite his un-expectancy to make the team’s official roster.
