Eagles Alshon Jeffery and Lane Johnson carted to locker room, trail Giants by 14 points at half

The Eagles season looks like it may have officially came to an end against the Giants on Monday night, confirmed by the departure of Alshon Jeffery and Lane Johnson before halftime.

Jeffery suffered a foot injury in the first quarter, and Johnson suffered a gruesome ankle injury in the second.

Despite the injuries, Eagles look to come back against New York in the second half, with a 14-point deficit. The Eagles came into this game way unprepared. They are now limited to just a meager two wide receivers, in spite of their abundance of cornerbacks at seven players. Ugh.

Jeffery nor Johnson seem likely to return in the second half’s play, however. The only thing the Eagles can do at this point is pray.
