During Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson’s press conference on Friday morning, Pederson stated that young wide receivers are playing cornerback at practice because of all the injuries to the defense.
Doug Pederson said the #Eagles have been so light at cornerback that they needed to use some backup receivers at CB this week in practice.

Eagles are currently left with Cre’Von LeBlanc, De’Vante Bausby, and Chandon Sullivan at cornerback. So it doesn’t really surprise me that the Eagles are putting players from alternate positions at the injured cornerback position.
It’s very doubtful that the young wideouts take reps at cornerback during games. Personally, I’d prefer the Eagles sign an actual cornerback than risking injury at wide receiver.
