Philadelphia Eagles fans depressed over yesterday’s loss to Tampa Bay yesterday should derive some encouragement from today’s announcement that Carson Wentz will start at quarterback on Sunday when the Eagles host the Indianapolis Colts. This will be Wentz’ first game in more than nine months.
Head coach Doug Pederson revealed the news at today’s press conference, stating that Wentz has officially been medically cleared for contact.
“He’s excited, he’s ready,” Pederson said. “Our plan was in place, he understood it, he embraced that, and now he’s ready.”
“Just watching him move around physically and some of the things he’s done, he’s ready,” Pederson added. “He’s ready to take the reins again and move forward.”
