It looks like Eagles’ fans week just got worse as of Monday evening. According to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport and confirmed by the NFL, Eagles no. 1 running back Jay Ajayi is out for the season with a torn ACL.
Why is #Eagles RB Jay Ajayi on Injured Reserve? He tore his ACL, source said. He’s out for the season and for someone who already had major knee issues, this is another one.

Ajayi had limited runs against the Vikings yesturday and the Titans last week, after not playing at all against the Colts two weeks ago. Corey Clement and Darren Sproles also did not play yesturday.
Eagles pretty much have to make a move for another running back given the uncertainty of Clement or Sproles coming back soon. One running back who’s currently being shopped is Steelers’ Le’Veon Bell.
